Get rdy: Competitive guide for July 27-August 2nd

A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.

League of Legends

Regional leagues kicked off again this week with Road Trips, tournaments, and big changes to the competitive meta

LEC Road Trip Paris

The LEC kicked off its Summer Split this past weekend in Paris, France with a home town derby between Team Vitality and Karmine Corp. KC were triumphant, and kept that momentum going throughout the weekend, starting their split 3-0.

This week, the remaining six teams in the LEC will get a chance to show how they’ve improved over the break. For many of them, it’s been a near month-long break from competitive play. Rested and ready for action, will they be able to challenge G2 Esports and Karmine for the throne?

KeSPA Cup

The KeSPA cup is pitting the best in the LCK against each other ahead of the start of the second half of the regular season. The preliminary rounds have so far seen Nongshim Red Force and T1 sit at the top of the table, while KT Rolster and GEN.G face early elimination.

T1 itself is facing trouble behind the scenes as reports surface that players allegedly spent 102 days in 2025 on sponsor-related activities due to partnership deals brokered by CEO Jack Marsh.

Competitive meta shakeup

Bot lanes across the competitive scene are in turmoil as bruisers and mages take over the bot lane, pushing traditional ADC picks out of the meta. With fans and analysts calling for radical changes, including locking Champion picks to be role specific.

Counter-Strike 2

BLAST Bounty

The so-called 'woke' part of BLAST Bounty is over (as labelled by members of rdy.gg) as the online portion is done and dusted, and we're headed to a much more exciting and based LAN.

Spirit absolutely demolished 100T to book a spot where you'd imagine they're favourites, but The MongolZ, 3DMAX, paiN, MOUZ, Astralis, Liquid (!) and FaZe (!) will have something to say about that. Liquid beat Vitality and G2 in a pretty legit albeit online run, while FaZe had less impressive wins over EYEBALLERS and DENDELE.

If Spirit manage to not win this, serious questions need to be asked. MongolZ have a guy with fewer games on record than we bought in the Steam summer sale, MOUZ are a bit all over the shop and 3DMAX are French. They surely have to win this one.

Dota 2

The biggest events of the 2025-26 Dota Pro Circuit season are now behind us, leaving just one tournament on the horizon: The International 2026. The countdown has already begun with only just over two weeks left until the big day.

TI doesn't begin until August 13, but that doesn't mean the Dota calendar is going quiet. While the big teams take the opportunity to prepare for the biggest event of the year, there are still several tournaments and competitions to help fill the gap until the Aegis is back on the line.

Regional Affairs

Local and regional fans have some treats on the menu this week.

Europe

1win Essence II kicks off on July 30th as ten Tier 1 teams compete for the lion's share of the $200,000 prize pool. The event will take place entirely online with teams such as Falcons, BetBoom, Liquid, 1win Team, LGD, MOUZ, GamerLegion, ViCi Gaming and OG. Reigning champions, PARIVISION, from 1win Essence I, will not be on hand to defend their title, making room for a new champion to be crowned on August 8th.

EPL Masters I: begins today, July 26th. There are 16 European teams competing for a slice of the $100,000 prize pool. MOUZ, GLYPH, Rune Eaters, Power Rangers and Team Bald will all be aiming for the trophy, to be determined in a best-of-three grand finals on August 12th.

Southeast Asia

Lunar Horse Trophy 8 began on Sunday, July 19th and will continue through the August 6th. It features eight regional teams competing online for $15,000.
