Get rdy: Competitive guide for April 27-May 3rd
A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.
League of Legends
LCK
KT Rolster are now 8-0 in the Korean LCK, undefeated and continuing on a really strong trajectory. But they're up against 7-1 Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) this week, their biggest test to date.
LEC
It's make or break time for Fnatic in the LEC. With only three playoff spots and four teams in contention, they're in a must-win situation against playoff locked Team Vitality.
And perhaps most importantly for competative and casual players a like, Season 2 of 2026 drops on April 2026. This is the biggest update of the season, but not a large 'midseason update' as we usually get. For pro play, the biggest changes will likely be itemization changes and nerfs to the 'snowball' effect from early objectives like Baron and Dragon.

BLAST Rivals Spring 2026
BLAST takes place starting on April 29th and will continue through May 3rd. It will likely be another leg of the Vitality trophy tour, but it is a chance to see FaZe without karrigan for the first time. We won't be seeing them at the Major, so this is more of an audition for Twistzz as IGL and Neityu.

DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4
DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 will reach its conclusion this Friday. A total of 16 teams came together to compete on the European servers for the largest slice of the $50,000 prize pool and chance to qualify for DreamLeague Season 29. The playoffs are in full swing with Nigma Galaxy leading the way and already placed in the Upper Bracket Finals and South America Rejects are still fighting in the lower brackets.
This season two slots are up for grabs and defending champions, Aurora, are not on hand to thwart hopeful teams.
1win Essence I
1win Essence I is the first of what seems to be an online series for Europe and CIS. A total of 14 teams have been invited to compete for the lion's share of the $100,000 prize pool. While that amount seems to be on par with the Tier 2 events, this event is boasting some of the biggest names in Dota right now. Tundra, Team Liquid, Falcons, AURORA, PARIVISION, Yandex will all be on hand competling. There will be two group stages and then the playoffs.
The event kicks off on May 2nd and will conclude on May 11th.
Regional Affairs
Local and regional fans have some treats on the menu this week.
China
ESL Challenger China Season 3 x ACL 2026 is an offline event that serves as qualifiers for Esports World Cup 2026. The entire event will take place from May 1-3rd with eight teams competing to claim the first place spot that grants access to the event, as well as the largest slice of the $172,000 prize pool. Xtreme Gaming is already invited to participate due to their position and points on the EPL leaderboard. Yakult Brothers, ViCi, Gaming, and Team Refuser have also been invited.
