Full sweeps across the board in first day of DreamLeague Season 27 playoffs

The first competitive games on the new patch result in a series of sweeps for DreamLeague Season 27 playoffs.

The playoffs for DreamLeague Season 27 are now underway, with just eight teams left standing after a brutal group stage that saw 16 squads sent packing.

Day one also marked the first true test of the new patch in a high-stakes environment, offering an early look at how the changes are shaping the competitive meta and decision-making at the top level.

The most surprising result came from PARIVISION, who stunned Team Falcons with a 2–0 sweep—but “clean” would be the wrong word. Game one dragged on for nearly an hour, while game two escalated into chaos, stretching past the 70-minute mark and ending in a mega creeps versus mega creeps showdown. The win sends PARIVISION through to the Upper Bracket semifinals and inches them closer to a breakthrough under the guidance of their new 'secret' weapon, Clement “Puppey” Ivanov.

Next up, Team Spirit made quick work of Xtreme Gaming with a decisive 2–0, followed by Tundra Esports doing the same to OG. It didn't matter if it was TI11 or a new patch, Game 1 featured Neta on his signature hero Tidehunter (incidently who is currently OP) and then Timbersaw after.

There is still one more Upper Bracket Quarter Finals series tomorrow between Virtus.pro and Team Yandex at 12:00 CET.
