Team Liquid are champions of FISSURE Universe Season 5

Team Liquid blasts their way to victory at FISSURE Universe Episode 5 as PARIVISION fail to make a dent once again.

FISSURE Universe Episode 5 came to an end today, with a re-match of the upper bracket final series between Team Liquid and PARIVISION. With both teams finding the top spot in their respective groups early in the event, they met in the upper bracket finals. Liquid destroyed PARIVSION, heading into the grand finals. It did not long for PARIVISION to secure a rematch, after taking down Aurora Gaming in the lower bracket finals.

While PARIVISION had taken a short hiatus, their return could have been met with a big win, but Liquid definitely had something to say about that.

Liquid untouchable once again at FISSURE Universe Episode 5

With a best-of-five grand finals for FISSURE Universe Episode 5, both teams were expected to bring out their best. And they both started off doing exactly that. However, if there was one thing that PARIVISION learned a bit too late, it was to ban out Tobias "Tobi" Buchner’s Naga Siren. While they managed to hold a lead in the first game, it was quickly shattered by Liquid, as they dominated the late game period and took game one.

The following two games were horribly one-sided, as Liquid stomped PARIVISION in a similar way to the upper bracket finals. Game two saw the Naga Siren at the helm again, utilising the ultimate to send PARIVISION into disarray quickly. By the time game three came around, there was no hope for the team on a return, as they crumbled to a far superior Liquid.

With a crushing 3-win victory to add to their easy victory in the upper bracket finals, Liquid destroyed PARIVISION at FISSURE Universe Episode 5. The challengers gave no response to Liquid, as the latter marched to another epic win for 2025.

This victory comes at the best time for Liquid, as they head into the Esports World Cup 2025 and search for a huge second half to the year. Whether or not Tobi will continue to make a showing for the squad in the upcoming event.
