Wisper switches to mid lane, Davai Lama returns to HEROIC

Fresh off a top 6 placement at The International 2025, HEROIC have already announced major changes to their roster.

A week after making South America proud on the TI 2025 stage, HEROIC are ready to enter the new competitive season with a revamped roster. Perhaps one of the most unexpected changes coming from the SA team is the departure of João Gabriel "4nalog" Giannini Santos, who's been a key factor in HEROIC’s success.

“We part ways with deep gratitude for everything we built together, and with nothing but respect for you and your journey ahead,” posted HEROIC on their social media pages upon waving goodbye to their mid laner.

At the same time, 4nalog announced on X that he is currently based in Europe and expressed his intention to join a new team.

Along with 4nalog, HEROIC have also parted ways with Vlad "Mangusu" Sateanu, who has been their assistant coach for the past year.

Wisper moves to mid lane

HEROIC’s changes don’t stop at just swapping players. For the new season, Adrián "Wisper" Dobles takes on a new challenge and will move from the offlane to mid lane. This will mark the first role swap in Wisper’s nearly eight-year competitive play career. It’s an interesting move considering that Wisper is regarded as one of the best offlaners in the world and, without a doubt, the best offlaner in the South American region.

His decision to swap roles seems directly connected to Cedric "Davai Lama" Deckmyn’s return to HEROIC. The Belgian offlaner spent the whole of 2024 at HEROIC while Wisper was trying his luck in Europe with OG. Upon Wisper’s return to SA, Davai Lama moved to North America and spent the previous season at Shopify Rebellion. Through his previous stint with the SA team, Davai Lama played alongside captain Matheus "KJ" Santos Jungles Diniz and shared the lane with Elvis "Scofield" Peña, both players still being now on the current HEROIC roster.
