September 4-6
The Group Stage for TI 2025 kicks off on Thursday, September 4th. This stage of the event places all sixteen teams into a Swiss-system round-robin. With the first ever TI featuring a Swiss-system round-robin group stage, it can be confusing.
- The top 3 teams at the end of the group stage will be directly placed into the playoffs.
- The teams placing 4th-13th proceed into a special elimination round.
- The remaining teams are eliminated.
Round 1 kicks off on September 4th, with the final round 5 on September 6th. The first round of action is already confirmed, with all series being best-of-three.

Elimination Stage
September 6-7
Moving into the elimination round, 10 teams will be fighting for 5 spots available in the playoffs. Each team will have only a single series to make it through to the main stage of TI.
Playoffs Stage
September 11-14
With only 8 teams remaining, the playoffs will kick off on September 11th, as players enter the Barclays Arena in Hamburg, Germany. In a double-elimination bracket, the players will have a single lifeline if they fall in the upper bracket but will need to make a miraculous run to claim the Aegis of Champions. All games will remain as best-of-three, culminating in a best-of-five grand finals.
Casters, commentators, hosts, and analysts

Where to watch
