Team Tidebound drowned out of the TI 2025 playoffs
Team Tidebound’s brilliance early at TI 2025 surmounts to nothing, as they are eliminated by Nigma Galaxy.
Day 2 of The International 2025 playoffs continued with the second elimination series, this time with Nigma Galaxy going head-to-head against Team Tidebound. A dominant display by Tidebound saw them finishing in the top 3 during the Group Stages, booking themselves directly into the playoffs. However, a very performance on Day 1 sent them into the dangerous lower bracket. At the same time, Nigma were pulled apart by BetBoom Team on Day 1 of the playoffs, leaving them to attempt the lower bracket run for TI 2025.

Nigma Galaxy: The lower bracket dream begins
Game 1 saw something completely different, with the mid-lane Muerta pick from Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan. However, even more interestingly, Tidebound were still suffering from what seemed to be a massive drop in form following a strong Group Stage. Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang’s Earthshaker role became almost a third support, as the Chinese team slumped into a GG call.

While Tidebound made a stronger stand in game 2, it was nothing like we saw from them in the early tournament. Nigma walked over the team at every turn, with 3 of the same heroes from the previous game. Unable to find any sort of footing, Tidebound threw in the towel, ending their run at TI 2025.
It is an unfortunate end for Tidebound, especially after they looked to follow in Xtreme Gaming’s dominant footsteps and with a brilliant Group Stage too. However, for Nigma, they now look to go on a lower bracket adventure that could land them in the TI 2025 grand finals.
