FISSURE Universe Episode 5 has just announced its full roster of teams as the tournament is set to kick off in a few weeks.
It is a busy time in the Dota 2 world, and next on the cards is FISSURE Universe Episode 5. Although it is a smaller tournament on the road to the Esports World Cup 2025, many of the teams involved are likely to be using it as a springboard for their future events.
With that in mind, on June 23rd, FISSURE announced the eight teams invited to the event, joining the two teams that qualified through the play-in stage.

Kicking off on June 30th and running through to July 3rd, Episode 5 boasts a $250,000 prize pool between those who venture into the top 6. Although held online, the event will surely attract Dota 2 fans from around the globe to tune in and watch some of the best teams put their best foot forward shortly before the EWC 2025.
The teams heading into FISSURE Universe Episode 5 are:
- PARIVISION
- Team Liquid

As with any FISSURE event, the teams will begin in two groups, where each will play against one another in a round-robin. The top two teams from each group are seeded directly into the upper bracket, while the next two teams advance to the lower bracket. The bottom two teams in both groups are eliminated.
The playoffs will see the remaining teams fight in a double-elimination bracket through best-of-three series, with a best-of-five grand final to decide a champion.
With PGL Wallachia Season 5 currently ongoing, FISSURE Universe Episode 5 will be a fantastic follow-up tournament, featuring many of the same participants. It will be exciting to see what these teams bring to the table right before the EWC kicks off.
