EWC 2025: PARIVISION secure playoffs with first Meepo of the tournament

PARIVISION out drafted and outplayed Xtreme Gaming in the eliminatory Gauntlet bracket at Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC) to make it to the top eight and join the playoff teams.
China Dota is left with no team at EWC 2025 after Xtreme Gaming (XG)were eliminated in the second round of the Gauntlet bracket. They landed in the elimination rounds after a modest performance in the group stage, and although they were net superior against Execration yesterday, they were no match for PARIVISION’s aggression.
The opening game of the series started with XG first picking Batrider, the second most contested hero of the tournament, which was sitting on a 100% win rate from the eight games. However, as XG were looking to secure single target burst damage, PARIVISION had the perfect answers and secured multiple saving tools between an Undying, an Oracle and a Ringmaster. The cherry on top was a last pick Meepo for the 17-year-old prodigy Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov.
Fancy geomancy!
Given the situation, XG found themselves forced to play defensively and hoped that they would find a way to drag the game into a super late scenario where their carry Morphling and mid lane Sniper could have shined. But that didn’t seem like a realistic plan.
Meepo had an uncontested early game and started to snowball out of control before the 20-minute mark. XG lacked the damage to deal with him, no matter how good the initiations were from Zhao "XinQ" Zixing on Batrider, and although they managed to drag the game past the 40-minute mark courtesy of a single successful team fight around the Roshan pit, they still lacked the power to stop the Meepo from cleaning their base.

Nonetheless, game two looked much better for Xtreme, who were in the driving seat for the most part, courtesy of a trio core Gyrocopter-Pangolier-Bristleback and good team fight coordination from the entire team. But, even though they were in the driver seat for the first 25 minutes, the team fights stopped going their way once PARIVISION had key aura items and were ready to fight as a unit. They had an offlane Darkseer to complement a carry Doom, while Volodymyr "No[o]ne-" Minenko took the spotlight on his signature Storm Spirit.
With their 2-0 over Xtreme Gaming, PARIVISION moved to the playoffs stage, where they will come well warmed up for another battle with elimination on the line. The playoffs this year at the Esports World Cup are played in a single elimination bracket format, with eight teams fighting for the glory. PARIVISION will step onto the stage on Wednesday, July 16, when they will be pitted against Aurora Gaming.
