Xtreme Gaming clean sweep Falcons to reach top 6 at DreamLeague Season 27

DreamLeague might go down as not being Falcon’s playground at all.
After getting eliminated in the previous season at the end of the group stage matches, Season 27 came to a close for Team Falcons in the first lower round of the lower bracket. Some may say it’s the traditional dip in the form of any The International champion, others might say that the new 7.40 patch might have played a role in the result.
Known for their formidable early game, Falcons looked like a shadow of themselves in the elimination series against Xtreme. They lost the laning stage in both games while Xtreme's carry, Wang "Ame" Chunyu, was given complete freedom and spiralled out of control on a carry Kez.
In game one, Xtreme pressured Falcons with a Warlock and Shadow Demon support duo, securing kills in both the safe and mid lanes. A few early deaths on Falcons' cores forced them into a defensive stance, but Xtreme hunted them relentlessly. Back-to-back deaths for Oliver "skiter" Lepko on Tiny around the 20-minute mark seemed to be the final blow for Falcons, who compounded their situation with uncharacteristic mistakes to drop the first game.
No answers in game two
Unfortunately for the TI 2025 champions, the story repeated in game two. An almost unrecognisable Falcons squad lost all lanes once again.
Despite having Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf on his signature Mars and skiter on Ursa, Falcons could not find an opportunity to turn the game around and were forced to concede defeat, exiting the tournament in 7th-8th place.
This marks only the second time Xtreme Gaming has beaten Falcons all year. The two teams have clashed five times in 2025, with their most intense battle being, of course, the grand finals of The International 2025, where Falcons emerged victorious 3–2, denying Ame the Aegis of Champions for the third time in his storied career.
