Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek is reuniting with some of his former Shopify Rebellion teammates at Virtus.pro.

After a short stint at the beginning of the competitive season with AVULUS, SabeRLight has found a new home at Virtus.pro. He is set to join the team in the offlane, replacing Nikita "Daxak" Kuzmin, who was let go earlier this month.

SabeRLight was benched from the Team Liquid roster after The International 2025. Liquid entered this year’s TI as defending champions and one of the favourites for the title. However, a poor run through the group stage led to an early elimination. Following the underwhelming results, Liquid made a couple of roster changes, and SabeRLight was allowed to start the new season with the Avulus stack.

That didn’t yield any results either, as the squad fell short in all early-season qualifier rounds.

Familiar faces: A Shopify Rebellion reunion

Just before Virtus.pro officially announced SabeRLight's joining the squad, Team Liquid also announced his departure from the team.

"Earlier this year, we moved him to the bench, and now his time with our team comes to a close. Thank you, SabeRLight! We’re wishing you nothing but the very best in what comes next,” said Team Liquid in their official announcement.

At Virtus.pro, SabeRLight is reuniting with Tal "Fly" Aizik, Abed "Abed" Yusop and coach Kanishka "BuLba" Sosale, with whom he played at Shopify Rebellion in 2023, prior to joining Team Liquid.
