Day 3 of PGL Wallachia Season 6 would see the first two eliminations, as well as the first two teams to reach the playoffs.

With the first two days of PGL Wallachia Season 6 out of the way, it was time to head into the real gritty side of things, eliminations. Day 3 would see two teams see their tournament lives ended, while two more would step into the playoffs. Three wins got you into the playoff stage, while 3 losses would spell disaster.

Liquid and Spirit dominate

Both Team Spirit and Team Liquid went into Day 3 with tough opponents on their hands, BetBoom Team and OG, respectively. While OG’s new roster came out strong in the opening days of PGL Wallachia Season 6, they were no match for the extremely dominant Liquid. Managing only 10 kills in Game 1, Game 2 was even worse for OG, with 5 kills and a 21-minute loss. The win sent Liquid straight through to the playoffs, while OG would need to fight another day in hopes of making it.

For Spirit, they made light work of BB Team, managing to turn around the lead from their opponents in a rough Game 2 and come out on top. Having two series previously where they dropped a game, this time Spirit seemed to find their footing early and take their third series win at PGL Wallachia Season 6.

Team Cobra and Roar Gaming sent packing

On the other side of the table, Roar Gaming were the first team eliminated, having lost to their Chinese brethren, Yakult Brothers. While the loss sees them eliminated from the tournament, YKBros still have a long journey ahead of them if they want to make it to the playoffs. Closing out the day we would see Nigma Galaxy and Team Cobra fighting to stay alive in the event. While Cobra’s biggest talking point for the tournament would be the single game they took off XG, they wouldn’t be able to find aa single moment to have any opening against NGX. With two comfortable games, NGX kept themselves in contention for the playoffs.

Surprisingly, the biggest news from the day came in the 1-1 scoreline group. Xtreme Gaming, in their first tournament since The International 2025, lost their second series, this time to MOUZ. With two stand-ins, MOUZ stood strong, fighting back from a first game loss to take a 2-1 win eventually. At the same time, Tundra Esports, coming into PGL Wallachia Season 6 off their recent victory at BLAST Slam IV, were destroyed by HEROIC.

This makes for a very interesting Day 4 on the way, where Tundra and XG are both set to fight for their tournament lives, while every single Chinese team will be hoping to avoid an eaarly exit from the event.
