Tundra Esports bring in V-Tune as a stand-in for PGL Wallachia Season 8

Tundra Esports will, once again, be without their carry, Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, for PGL Wallachia Season 8.

Tundra Esports has had an interesting 2026 in Dota 2. With two huge victories at DreamLeague Season 28 and, more recently, ESL One Birmingham, the team also has two lower placements at alternate events. PGL Wallachia Season 7 saw the team finishing fifth/sixth without Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, as they acquired the services of David "Parker" Nicho Flores as a stand-in. Unfortunately, for the upcoming PGL Wallachia Season 8, they will be without their carry due to visa issues once more, at least for the Group Stages.

V-Tune gets another shot

With the wind in their sails, Tundra cruised to a huge victory at ESL One Birmingham 2026 only a few weeks ago. The win proved that they were one of the strongest teams in Dota 2, as they fought through the new patches and prevailed. However, this was with their full-strength roster. As we move onto the next tournament, PGL Wallachia Season 8, the team will not be at their best, as Pure attempts to get his visa and will miss out on, hopefully, only the Group Stage.

Coming in as a stand-in for the team will be Alik "V-Tune" Vorobey, who is no stranger to the role. Having played alongside Aurora Gaming at PGL Wallachia Season 7 as a stand-in, he now looks to make a bigger impact with Tundra. However, according to Tundra, it is possible that V-Tune’s services will not be required for the event’s entirety, as Pure works on his visa application and could join the squad for the Playoffs – should they make it that far.

PGL Wallachia Season 8 kicks off on April 18th, with the 16 teams heading into a gruelling modified Swiss-system Group Stage. The top 8 teams will advance to the Playoffs, while the rest will be eliminated. Tundra, considering their results, will be looking to remain in the upper echelons and maybe finally become champions of PGL Wallachia.
