While rumours have been swirling recently, Tundra Esports has now released their Dota 2 roster, as the players move to 1w Team.
Recently there have been multiple rumours that Tundra Esports would be leaving their Dota 2 roster behind. Having entered the scene in 2021, and recorded multiple victories, including a win at The International 2022, Tundra has become a household name within the scene. Through a few roster shuffles, and a plethora of tournaments, the team has withstood the trials and tribulations of the Dota 2 scene, and now they have decided to move on, leaving their roster behind.
Tundra Esports moves to 1w Team
In a post made via the Tundra Esports X account, the news was released. According to the post, the organisation is now looking to move forward and begin a new chapter.
After an unforgettable and successful 6 years in Dota 2 with the legendary team, Tundra Esports is preparing to begin a new chapter. Our team brought passion, brilliance, joy, and excitement to millions of fans around the world, creating memories that will forever be part of Tundra’s History.”
The announcement comes on the back of the team’s exit from the still ongoing BLAST Slam VII, with a few poor performances after their victories at DreamLeague Season 28 and ESL One Birmingham 2026.
However, while the team will not be under the Tundra banner anymore, they will remain together, as they move on to 1w Team, as they head into the Esports World Cup 2026 and The International. The full departed Tundra roster, and the new 1w roster is as follows:
- Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko
- Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
- Neta “33” Shapira
- Matthew “Ari” Walker
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
- David Tan “MoonMeander” Boon Yang (coach)
While 33 remains the only player from the original Tundra roster, even though having played with Team Liquid for a year in between, the team still retains their coach, MoonMeander, and looks to still take the second half of 2026 by storm.
The previous 1w Team roster, which features the likes of Georgii “swedenstrong” Zainalabidov moves over to Enjoy, who will be looking to qualifiers in the near future for the upcoming events. Although no further details have been given by Tundra of what their future will entail in Dota 2, it will be interesting to see where they land.
