16 teams, 80 players, 89 matches, but one player stands out among the rest when it comes to individual records registered at the Esports World Cup Dota 2 tournament.

The Esports World Cup concluded this past weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Team Spirit winning the trophy after one of the most dominant grand final performances we've seen in modern Dota 2.

Team Spirit dominated the tournament from start to finish thanks to perfect coordination, macro play, and draft synergy. They were one game away from owning a perfect 13-0 record in the EWC. Unfortunately, they missed an opportunity to win the tournament without a loss by drawing in the opening round of the group stage against Xtreme Gaming. As a result, they finished with a score of 12-1.

Heroic challenge, but collapse in Riyadh

Team Spirit offlaner Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov received the $10,000 tournament MVP award for playing an important role in his team's success in Riyadh and performing outstandingly in all of Team Spirit's games. Collapse also holds the record for the most heroes played during the tournament. At EWC, he chose a total of 13 different heroes, meaning that every Team Spirit game during the tournament had a different hero. Notably, the only time his team lost a game was when Collapse played a hero not in the traditional offlane hero group, namely Queen of Pain in the group stage opener against Xtreme.

Collapse's performance in Riyadh is reminiscent of his teammate Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk's achievement at The International 2021. Back then, Team Spirit won its first Aegis of Champions, and Yatoro completed the Hero Challenge by playing 14 different heroes in the TI10 main event.

But while Team Spirit dominated the tournament in Riyadh, their own prodigy, Alan "Satanic" Galliamov, who plays on loan to PARIVISION, showed off his individual skills to the fullest at EWC and set several records.

Satanic

Satanic is Team Spirit's discovery and their player of the year. He debuted as a member of Yellow Submarine and played his first tier 1 tournaments under the Spirit banners while Yatoro was on vacation last year. However, when he returned to competition in January this year, the 17-year-old prodigy was loaned to PARIVISION.

Since then, Satanik has consistently stood out with his unique style of play. This year, he won his first championship title at ESL One Raleigh with PARIVISION and also added the DreamLeague Season 26 title to his belt. He and PARIVISION came into the Esports World Cup as the highest-ranked team on the ESL Pro Tour with 24,745 EPT points, nearly double that of BetBoom Team, who finished second on the leaderboard.

PARIVISION's tournament records at Esports World Cup 2025

PARIVISION finished third in the EWC, but with 18 matches played, they were the team with the most records set in Riyadh.

  • Highest GPM: Satanic - Prophet of Nature, 1.2k
  • Highest XPM: Satanic - Doom, 1.4k
  • Highest number of hero kills: Satanic - Prophet of Nature, 23
  • Won Gold: Satanic - Morphling, 57,075
  • Last hits/min: Satanic - Prophet of Nature, 17.93
  • Most building damage: Satanic - Meepo, 29,077
  • Most Envoy kills by one player: 9Class - Night Stalker, 4
  • Most team kills per match: 54
  • Team with the most heroes: 40 unique heroes

It's worth noting that PARIVISION also had the shortest match at EWC, but lost it in 25 minutes, losing to Team Liquid.

Interestingly, despite Team Spirit being the kings of comebacks and the team that seems to thrive the most in extra late game scenarios, the longest Esports World Cup game this year was recorded in the semi-final between Tundra Esports and Team Falcons and lasted one hour, 20 minutes and 17 seconds.

Meanwhile, the biggest jump in net team value was recorded by Xtreme Gaming, who overcame a 34,392 gold deficit to defeat Execration in the elimination stage.

Nightfall, the king of pings

Egor**"Nightfall**" Grigorenko's name has always been associated with a lot of pings on the card. For a while he had a real rivalry in this respect with Daryl**"iceiceice**" Koch. However, since icex3 retired, Nightfall seems to be the undisputed king of this category, and Esports World Cup 2025 is another tournament where he owns the four highest values: 197, 202, 237 and 252 pings on the map.

HEROIC's new rival in terms of pings on the map could be carrier player Yuma "Yuma" Langlet, who has the two highest values in the EWC with 182 and 189 pings on the map.

What's next.

From Spirit's near-perfect run to PARIVISION's statistical superiority and Nightfall's relentless map pings, Esports World Cup 2025 proved that while teams compete for glory, legends are made in unforgettable moments. When the dust settles in Riyadh, only one question remains: who will challenge Team Spirit at The International 2025 in September in Hamburg, Germany.
