Team Liquid welcomes Wisper back to Europe to complete their roster
As a few teams have begun their Dota 2 season at PGL Wallachia Season 9, others have been continuing to complete their rosters. With Matthew “Ace” Hoelgaard departing from the Team Liquid roster on September 13th, they were missing a position 3 offlane player moving forward.
However, on September 20th, the team filled the position, as Adrián Céspedes “Wisper” Dobles makes his move to Liquid.
Wisper returns to Europe
Back in late 2023, and for the entirety of 2024, Wisper left behind the South American Dota 2 scene. His talents led him to Europe, where he joined OG. Although his time away from SA came with many struggles, there were a few shining moments, especially ESL One Birmingham 2024.
Eventually, in 2025, Wisper returned to his home region, where he has continued to grow in his career, amongst all the troubles of the region.
Now, as of September 20th, 2026, Wisper makes his return to EU, joining Team Liquid to complete their roster. Announced via the team’s X account, Wisper becomes the first South American player to ever play alongside Liquid.

On September 29th, we will get to see Liquid’s newest offlaner and their new-look roster in action, when they enter BLAST SLAM VIII. While Wisper’s previous time outside of SA may not have seen much in the way of great results, he will be hoping that Liquid’s expertise can change that.
