South America Rejects and Nigma round out lineup for DreamLeague Season 29
DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 wrapped with a finish that flipped expectations on their head. Nigma Galaxy and South American Rejects both secured the two available slots for DreamLeague Season 29, but the grand final still delivered a slightly surprising result.
While both teams had already qualified, the series determined the final placement and a modest prize difference of around $5,000.
Nigma entered the final as the more dominant side on paper. They moved through playoffs without dropping a series, showing consistency and control throughout their run. In contrast, South American Rejects took the long route. After falling to the lower bracket in the opening round, they fought through five consecutive elimination series to reach the final, all while also competing in PGL Wallachia at the same time.
Despite the difference in paths, the final itself was one-sided. South American Rejects defeated Nigma Galaxy 3–0 in the best-of-five, closing out the tournament with momentum built from their lower bracket run.
DreamLeague Season 29
With Division 2 concluded, the full lineup for DreamLeague Season 29 is now set. The event will run from May 13–24, featuring 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 28,300 EPT points. DreamLeague Season 29 is the final stop on the ESL Pro Tour so these points remain critical in the race toward the Esports World Cup 2026, where 13 teams will qualify through the standings. As of now only seven spots are still open.
