PGL Wallachia Season 8 Survival Guide; Teams, stand-ins, format, schedule, prize pool
Sixteen teams will gather at the PGL Studios in Bucharest from April 18-26th to battle for their share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. As always, the tournament features a mix of established contenders, rising teams trying to cement their place among the elite, and qualifier hopefuls simply looking to prove they belong on the same stage.
The event arrives with more uncertainty than usual. Between visa issues forcing roster stand-ins and shifting momentum across the competitive scene, several teams will be entering the tournament looking slightly different than expected.
Team Spirit and Tundra Esports rely on replacements due to visa issues, MOUZ and Team Liquid will continue with familiar stand-ins they have been competing with for the last few qualifiers and matches.
Team Yandex come to the event as the defending champions, but also as one of the stronger contenders as they also arrive on the back of a strong ESL Birmingham 2026 run where they took second place to Tundra.
The action kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, April 18th at 10:00 CEST as Xtreme Gaming take on NAVI and Team Spirit locks horns with ViCi Gaming.
