FISSURE returns with $250,000 PARI Universe tournament after seven month hiatus

The tournament follows a turbulent mid-2026 for FISSURE, which faced allegations of unpaid prize pools across its CS2 and Dota 2 events. Reports in June and July suggested the tournament organiser owed multiple teams over $1 million. Earlier this year, FISSURE publicly acknowledged owing prize money to 15 CS2 teams, including FURIA, Team Falcons, G2 Esports, Team Liquid, and Astralis. The admission was reportedly made to comply with Valve's Tournament Operation Requirements, which mandate public disclosure of such debts.

Former Dota 2 professional player Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov also went public, stating he had not received most of his prize money from FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025.

While FISSURE has not publicly addressed whether these outstanding debts have been resolved, PARI Universe is only the second FISSURE Dota 2 event in 2026.

This October, FISSURE returns with the online betting platform PARI as lead sponsor for their new tournament series. PARI Universe will be held online from October 22nd to November 1st, with 10 teams fighting for a slice of the $250,000 prize pool. Nine teams received direct invites to the tourney, with one more to be decided via a qualifier round held mostly with Eastern European teams.
