PARI Universe: 1win on the brink as Team Yandex and Team Spirit remain undefeated

The group stage of PARI Universe is heating up as the ten teams continue their battle for a share of the $250,000 prize pool, with just two days remaining in the group stage.
1win find themselves in the most precarious position following a 2-0 defeat at the hands of GamerLegion. The team has yet to secure a single match victory, let alone a series win, leaving them dangerously close to becoming one of the two teams eliminated at the conclusion of the group stage.
The struggles are a continuation of a disappointing stretch for 1win. After a roller-coaster season of highs and lows last year, culminating in a 7th-8th place finish at The International, the team has yet to find its footing in the new season. A 7th-8th place finish at PGL Wallachia and 5th-6th at BLAST Slam have done little to suggest a return to form.
GamerLegion, on the other hand, continue to show signs of improvement since their 9th-11th place finish at TI, with their victory over 1win adding to the team's growing momentum.
Meanwhile, Team Yandex continue to dominate, maintaining a flawless record without dropping a single game. After finishing third at The International, Yandex have emerged as the team to beat this season, already claiming both the PGL Wallachia and BLAST Slam titles. Their performance at PARI Universe suggests they have little intention of slowing down.
Fresh off their TI championship, Team Spirit appear to be defying the notorious post-TI curse that has plagued previous champions, following up their title with a runner-up finish at BLAST Slam and now an undefeated run through the PARI Universe group stage.
For KuroKy's Astra Invicta, however, the road has been considerably less smooth. Despite boasting a star-studded roster featuring Nightfall, lorenof, DM, Omar and GH, the team has yet to establish itself as a frontrunner. LEGION overpowered Astra Invicta 2-1 in the day's only series to go the full three games.
With the group stage concluding on October 26, the pressure is mounting, particularly for teams hovering near the bottom of their groups. Only eight of the ten competitors will advance to the playoffs, which begin on October 28.
