N0tail is back in Dota 2, as he takes on the challenge of coaching a brand-new OG roster in hopes of reaching The International.

For years to come, Dota 2 fans will remember OG and their back-to-back titles at The International (TI). Unfortunately, following this, as players decided that they needed a break, OG began to suffer. While the team continued to play with many different rosters, some which included the likes of Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, they never returned to the glory of TI 8 and 9.

However, a new OG roster has now emerged, with N0tail taking the proverbial reins.

OG returns with N0tail on board

When it comes to Dota 2, few teams are as famous as OG. Their TI winning days are sme of the most memorable in recent history. However, it has been a long time since the OG faithful have had anything to cheer about. This could all change, as N0tail confirmed that he would be making his return to Dota 2.

In a post made via X (previously Twitter), the two-time TI winner commented on his urge to return. N0tail went on to outline exactly what he is looking for with the new roster, before ending with an emphatic hope of returning to TI. His return, while not playing, will put N0tail in the head coach role – one that he is not completely unfamiliar with. However, with a brand-new roster, it will pose a big challenge.

Barely one day later, OG was back, announcing their new roster. The OG lineup is an interesting one, but if anyone can make magic happen, it is N0tail.

The full new OG roster is:

  • Indji “Shad” Lub
  • Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau
  • Mihajlo “MikSa`” Jovanovic
  • Tamir “daze” Tokpanov
  • Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev
  • Johan “N0tail” Sundstein (Coach)

While Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon remains a part of the OG roster, he went inactive in late January. Soon after the lineup was confirmed, it was announced that 23savage would be heading over to TALON on loan. With Shad also being on loan, it will be interesting to see if one is replaced with the other later in the year, depending on how OG fair.

Fans of OG will not have to wait too long to see the team in action. With FISSURE Universe 5 Play-In about to kick off, they will be fighting their way through, trying to get into the main event. But the bigger question will be if N0tail and OG can return to TI in 2025.
