OG get their first win with their new roster on Day 1 of PGL Wallachia Season 6
PGL Wallachia’s first day came with one major upset, at OG managed to bring out their new roster to take down PARIVISION.
Day 1 of PGL Wallachia Season 6 saw each of the 16 teams play their first series, looking to get a strong start in the event. However, the biggest surprise of the day came from an unlikely source. OG, having only recently moved into the Southeast Asia region, got off to a strong start, with a massive victory over PARIVISION. But there was still a long road ahead at the event.
OG register a big win at PGL Wallachia
The opening game for PGL Wallachia Season 6 would see the return of PARIVISION, as they went up against OG’s newest roster. While we saw the classic Edgar "9Class" Naltakian pick, which helped PV into a lead at some point in the first game, the OG roster managed to quell the threat. Although having a small lead in the second game of the best-of-three series, PV looked to even the score. Unfortunately, a turnaround from their opponents closed things out, as the new OG roster claimed their first victory.
Through the rest of the day, we saw MOUZ march over Roar Gaming, the mostly Chinese roster making their mark on the scene in recent times. While Xtreme Gaming dropped a game to Team Cobra, their return to professional Dota 2 after The International was heralded with an eventual victory. At the same time, Team Liquid got the jump over GamerLegion, as the new organisation in the game were unable to take their first win.
Another big series to have an interesting result came when HEROIC went up against Natus Vincere. While the South Americans were doing fairly well recently, it seems as though NAVI were ready to get back on top. With a dominant performance in the first game, NAVI carried over into a tough game 2 where they weathered the storm to take down HEROIC.

Closing out the first day of the PGL Wallachia Season 6 Group Stage would be Tundra Esports and Nigma Galaxy. As expected, after their recent win at BLAST Slam IV, Tundra were above and beyond their opponents. Outclassing NGX in a little over an hour in total. Day 2 is on the way, with a Swiss Stage format, that will see some massive series on the cards. Teams with Day 1 losses will want to make up some ground, as the bottom 8 will be eliminated when the Group Stage concludes.
