Nightfall moves to the bench as Aurora Gaming announce a new carry

PGL Wallachia Season 9 is at our doorstep, and as the teams have now been confirmed, many are announcing their rosters for the upcoming event and further. For Aurora Gaming, their announcement sees the departure of one player, a new carry, and entering the event with a stand-in.
Aurora Gaming shake things up
2026 has been a shaky year for Aurora. Always right on the cusp of Tier 1 victories, but never quite able to close them out. Both DreamLeague Season 28 and Season 29 saw the team making it to the grand finals, only to have the championship ripped away from them at the last breath. However, the team has soldiered on, no matter what, even holding a 26 series win-streak world record in the early part of the year.
Now, with the new season on the way, Aurora are making some changes. The biggest comes in the form of Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko, who has been with the team since early 2025. Nightfall now moved to the bench, leaving a position 1 hole in the roster.
However, shortly after the Nightfall announcement, came the confirmation of their new player. Oliver “skiter” Lepko becomes the new position 1 carry for Aurora, after Team Falcons departed from Dota 2, leaving the players to go their separate ways.

With that said, the team also announced that they will be without Mikoto for the first event, as the player takes time off for personal reasons. In his place as a stand-in will be Igor “Stojkov” Stojkov at PGL Wallachia Season 9.
