PGL Wallachia Season 6’s grand finals gave us a fantastic series between MOUZ and Team Spirit, as a champion was crowned.

For the final day of action at PGL Wallachia Season 6, we would see two series. First would be the lower bracket final, with MOUZ going up against Team Liquid, as both teams looked to get into the grand final to face off against Team Spirit.

MOUZ step up to the grand finals

With their return to topflight Dota 2, MOUZ has had some amazing tournaments so far. PGL Wallachia Season 6 would see them make a glorious run to reach the grand finals. Their lower bracket final victory over Team Liquid saw them dominate, taking a fantastic 2-1 victory. Now, with their sights set on Team Spirit, they were hoping to finally claim their first championship victory.

MOUZ claim their first tournament championship

MOUZ and Spirit have met previously at PGL Wallachia Season 6 during the Group Stage. Although MOUZ lost, they did take a game off Spirit at that point, and they would be hoping to do more in the grand finals. MOUZ were also on the brink of making history for their organisation, in hopes of winning their first ever S-tier Dota 2 event.

However, Game 1 did not go their way, as Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk’s Drow Ranger came online in the late game and took complete control. It was in Game 2 where MOUZ really found their footing, with a magnificent showing from the entire squad. With the series tied at 1-1, it was time to see who would break the deadlock and go on to series point.

A meticulous display of Dota 2 came out from MOUZ in Game 3, as they took the lead in the series. While the game did go back-and-forth with some small changes in net worth, overall, Spirit was unable to overcome the lineup from their opponents.

Spirit found their footing again to tie the series with a dominating performance from start to finish in Game 4. A gigantic lead saw Spirit take fight after fight, before MOUZ threw in the towel and took us to a full five-game grand finals. But, with both teams throwing everything into the final game, neither wanted to back down. However, when the dust settled, MOUZ were the ones left standing, ripping apart Spirit with their unmatched aggression. With one final battle, MOUZ wiped Spirit from the map and claimed a 3-2 grand finals victory.

A massive tournament from MOUZ saw the team take their first topflight Dota 2 victory, becoming champions of PGL Wallachia Season 6. MOUZ will be back in action later this coming week as they head to BLAST Slam V in hopes of continuing to prove their strengths.
