BLAST Slam IV is only a few days away, but two teams have decided to remove themselves from the upcoming tournament.

On October 14th, the first tier 1 Dota 2 LAN event following The International 2025 is set to kick off. BLAST Slam IV is set to pit 12 of the best teams against one another in a massive month-long tournament. However, with the event only a few days away, BLAST has confirmed that two of the originally invited teams have decided to pull out, with replacements already confirmed.

PARIVISION and Talon Esports withdraw

Set to be the first BLAST event featuring a live audience, Slam IV takes place in Singapore. In that regard, Talon Esports were originally chosen as the “host region” direct invite. However, with major roster issues in the past few weeks, Talon remained without a completed team as of October 8th. For this reason, the team has decided to withdraw themselves from BLAST Slam IV, leaving the organisers to fill their spot with Execration.

While no official announcement has come from Talon, it is likely that their lack of roster plays a big role in this decision. The team were also set to play at the RES Unchained 2: BLAST Slam V Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier in a few days but withdrew from that too.

Additionally, PARIVISION made the decision to take themselves out from BLAST Slam IV. However, for PV, their withdrawal seems to come from their own choices, as a statement was given by the organisation via their X account.

In order to give our players time to rest and recover after an intense season, it was decided to start a new competitive circuit from FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2. Thank you to everyone who supports us, the work continues!

PV’s late replacement comes in the form of MOUZ, who come in shortly after their new roster has been rebuilt. While there are no further details of teams removing themselves from BLAST Slam IV, we have yet to hear of roster announcements from a number of teams involved. Although, with only a few more days until the tournament kicks off, it is unlikely that anymore withdrawals and replacements are seen.
