HEROIC survive an intense series to reach the playoffs at PGL Wallachia Season 6

With the final day of Group Stage action from PGL Wallachia Season 6 came three more eliminations.

PGL Wallachia Season 6 has seen some crazy series, results, and eliminations. For the final day of the Group Stage, three elimination series remained, which would see the teams tested for a chance to stay in the tournament. Tundra Esports, Natus Vincere, BetBoom Team, GamerLegion, HEROIC, and Xtreme Gaming all had their tournament lives on the line, as they hoped to remain in the event.

Tundra, HEROIC, and BB Team surive the Group Stage

While it was a surprising spot for Tundra to be in, after their recent win at BLAST Slam IV, the team has already survived Day 4’s threat of elimination at PGL Wallachia Season 6. Their final attempt to make it into the playoffs saw them decimate NAVI in a strong 2-0 performance. Even through brief periods where it seemed as though there was a window to turn things around, NAVI could not find the resilience to take a win and were eliminated.

Next up we saw the North American hopefuls from GamerLegion taking on BB Team. After taking a huge victory in the first game, an upset was on the cards for GL. However, as expected, BB Team found their footing and took two strong wins to take their place in the playoffs of PGL Wallachia Season 6.

The final series from the Group Stage would see two favourites, with XG and HEROIC hoping to keep their tournament dreams alive. While it was their first tournament back since The International 2025, XG had not had a great run. For HEROIC, they showed some class to take down Tundra earlier in the event, but their losses were painful. After a rough first game was turned on its head by XG, taking a strong win, the South Americans fought back to tie the series, in the face of FOUR Helm of the Undying Tier 5 items picked up by their opponents.

In an intense final game, HEROIC looked extremely dominant, but as time went on, XG's draft began to find their mark. However, an amazing slow siege, where they kept their cool, proved that HEROIC were deserving of the win, with Cedric "Davai Lama" Deckmyn backdooring the open Ancient while his team held XG at bay.

With that, the Group Stage at PGL Wallachia Season 6 comes to an end, as we now look ahead to the playoffs. The eight teams to head through to the playoffs are as follows:
