A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.
Counter-Strike 2

Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2026
IEM Masters Rio 2026 is set to begin today, Monday, April 13th and continue through April 19th. A total of 16 S-Tier teams have arrived in Rio to compete for the lion's share of the $300,000 prize pool.
Group Stage: April 13th – 15th, 2026
- Two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups
- Each group has eight teams
- All matches are Bo3
- The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs:
- Group stage winners advance to the Semifinals
- Group stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds
- Group stage 3rd place teams advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds
Playoffs: April 17th – 19th, 2026
- Single-Elimination bracket
- All matches are Bo3
- The Grand Final is Bo5
While Vitality are likely to win yet again, there is still plenty to get your teeth stuck into.
Dota 2

PGL Wallachia Season 8
PGL Wallachia Season 8 brings together a diverse field of contenders, challengers, and hopefuls. Sixteen teams will compete on LAN at the PGL Studios in Bucharest, Romania, from April 18-26th, battling for their share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
Qualifiers
DreamLeague Season 29 Closed Qualifiers have kicked off in all six regions this week and will be wrapping up tomorrow, Tuesday, April 14th. A total of ten teams will earn their ticket to the main event. So far, NAVI was the first team to claim a spot when they took down Team Liquid 2:1. Two more teams from the region will join them. Team Liquid still has another chance in the lower brackets. Either MOUZ or Virtus.pro will claim the second spot. ViCi Gaming is gunning for the spot for China, SEA looks to be a highly contested battle with OG, REKONIX, and GLYPH all fighting in the lower brackets and Team Nemesis barreling through the upper brackets. BetBoom Team were the favorites for Eastern Europe's sole spot, but to get there they will need to stave off elimination in the lower brackets.
Two teams will join from DreamLeague Division 2 Season 4 which is set to begin on Sunday, April 19th with 16 teams competing for one of those slots and the largest slice of the $50,000 prize pool.
ESL Challenger CN is an offline event that serves as qualifiers for both Esports World Cup 2026. Eight teams will be competing to claim the first place spot that grants access to the event. Xtreme Gaming is already invited to participate due to their position and points on the EPL leaderboard. Yakult Brothers, ViCi, Gaming, and Team Refuser have also been invited. There will be two open qualifiers sending two teams each into the main event. The first qualifier takes place April 17-19th.
Regional Affairs
Local and regional fans have some treats on the menu this week.
Eastern Europe
European Pro League Season 36 is kicking off. From April 2-17th, twelve teams are competing for their share of the $20,000 reward. Zero Tenacity overwhelmed Team Lynx for the crown last season 3:2.
Southeast Asia
EPL World Series: Southeast Asia Season 14 will continue through the 23rd. Eight local teams have been competing for the $10,000 prize. Neither Yangon Galacticos nor GLYPH who won the last two seasons are on hand, allowing a new champion to emerge.
South America
CCT Season 2: South America Series 4 sees 12 invited teams battle it out for the largest slice of the $20,000 prize pool. The event will continue through the 17th. x5 Gaming, featuring some of Brazil's top talent and names, have been on hand and now enter the playoff phase.
