GamerLegion sign the Apex Genesis roster for their first foray into Dota 2
Having swapped teams twice already in 2025, a new home is on the cards for Apex Genesis, as they are acquired by GamerLegion.
After starting 2025 under the Apex Genesis banner, the squad were acquired by Wildcard. But following The International 2025, and a few qualifiers, the organisation decided to go separate ways with the roster. This left the squad to go back to Apex Genesis while they prepared for DreamLeague Season 27 to close out their year. However, according to a post made via X, the roster now moves to fight under a new flag once more.
GamerLegion enters Dota 2
It’s not often that we see too many new organisations decide to take the plunge into a new esport. For GamerLegion, they take a massive step forward, as they decide to pick up the Apex Genesis Roster after a singular Boot Camp, according to their post. With a major presence in Counter-Strike 2, the organisation will now brave the treacherous Dota 2 waters with a North American roster.
Keeping their full roster, as well as their manager, the newest addition to the squad comes in the form of their coach. Andrei-Vlad "Mangusu" Sateanu takes on the role, having departed from HEROIC following TI 2025.
The full new GamerLegion Dota 2 roster is:
- Luke “Yamsun” Wang
- Francis “RCY” Fundemera
- Victor “Fayde” Zuev
- Danil “Bignum” Shekhovtov
- Paul “Speeed” Bocchicchio
- Andrei-Vlad "Mangusu" Sateanu (coach)
As they now look ahead to DreamLeague Season 27, the team will need to pull out all the stops to make a massive impact at the event. However, with some fierce opposition, this will not be an easy road for the team.
