BLAST III is bound to bring you an action packed week of Dota 2 due to its unique tournament format and high caliber teams.

BLAST Slam III is bound to bring you an action packed week of Dota 2 due to its unique tournament format and high caliber teams.

Much like most of the other Tier 1 tournaments on this years’ competitive schedule, BLAST Slam III has a total of $1,000,000 prize pool up for grabs, but the team lineup consists of only 10 participants, and the differences don’t stop here. The tournament organiser handpicked the 10 teams which will play from the 6th to the 11th of May in a different format than they are used to.

BLAST Slam III format

BLAST Slam III has a king of the hill concept and will run the entire group stage in a single day, on the 6th of May, 2025. All group stage matches are a merciless best-of-one brawl, which should bring out the best in every competitor. Although nobody will be eliminated at the end of the group play, the stakes are high as the results will count for the playoff seeding.

The playoffs will be played May 7-11 in a single elimination bracket with best-of-three series up to the grand finals which will be bo5.

How do the group stage results impact the playoff seeding?

The teams placed first in their respective groups will be seeded straight into the semifinals while the second placed teams will be placed in the quarterfinals. The third placed team from each group will head to the second round of the single elimination bracket, while the 4th and 5th placed teams will start the playoffs from the first round of the bracket.
