ESL reveals 2026/27 Dota 2 Pro Tour schedule

The new season features three DreamLeague events, ESL One Europe, an expanded Division II circuit and an increased focus on EPT points.

ESL has revealed the schedule for the 2026/27 Dota 2 ESL Pro Tour, with three DreamLeague seasons and ESL One Europe set to take place between December 2026 and May 2027.

The new season follows the revamped EPT format introduced last year, with DreamLeague Division II continuing to provide a pathway into Tier 1 events and EPT points playing an increasingly important role in qualification as the season progresses.

Three DreamLeague seasons

DreamLeague Season 30 will kick off the new EPT season from December 2-13 with 24 teams competing for $750,000 in total winnings.

The tournament will use a Swiss stage followed by a round-robin group stage and playoffs, with teams qualifying through EPT standings, regional qualifiers and DreamLeague Division II.

DreamLeague Season 31 will follow from January 20-31. The field will drop to 16 teams, competing for $500,000 and EPT points ahead of the season's only ESL One event.

The final DreamLeague of the season, Season 32, is scheduled for April 26-May 9. The 24-team tournament will feature $750,000 in total winnings and what ESL is calling an "Extended ESL One Format."

ESL One returns to Europe

ESL One Europe will take place from April 4-11, bringing 16 teams together for the biggest EPT points haul of the season and $1 million in total winnings.

Eight teams will receive direct invites based on the EPT leaderboard following DreamLeague Season 31, while the remaining eight will qualify through regional qualifiers.

The host city and venue have not yet been revealed.

It will once again be the only ESL One event on the EPT calendar, with ESL continuing the move away from multiple ESL One LANs across different regions.

EPT points become increasingly important

The EPT leaderboard will help shape the second half of the season, with DreamLeague Season 31 serving as an important cutoff point.

Following the tournament, the top eight eligible teams in the standings will receive invites to ESL One Europe, while six teams will qualify directly for DreamLeague Season 32 through EPT points.

ESL One Europe will offer the largest EPT points allocation of the four Tier 1 events, with 33,300 points available compared to 30,000 at each DreamLeague.

The system means performances during the opening two DreamLeague seasons will have a direct impact on which teams make it to the latter half of the EPT calendar.

DreamLeague Division II continues

DreamLeague Division II will also return for the 2026/27 season after being introduced last year as a new pathway for Tier 2 teams.

Three Division II tournaments are scheduled, beginning with Season 4 from November 9-15. Season 5 will follow from January 4-10, before Season 6 takes place from April 12-18.

Each tournament will feed teams into the following DreamLeague season, giving teams outside the established EPT field another route into Tier 1 competition.

The schedule largely fills in the preliminary 2026/27 roadmap ESL revealed last year, with names and formats now attached to all four Tier 1 tournament windows.

ESL has also already outlined its provisional 2027/28 calendar, which is once again expected to feature four Tier 1 and four Tier 2 events.
