China legends reunite at Xtreme Gaming with Xiao8 coaching

Following a disastrous bottom four finish at DreamLeague Season 25, Xtreme Gaming dropped four players and their coach.

Despite the poor result at DreamLeague, Xtreme decided to keep Li "Undyne" Qiancheng, who stood in for the team during the tournament. According to the official announcement made by Xtreme, Undyne becomes a full member as hard support and is joined by true legends of the competitive scene who are now returning to the organisation.

Wang "Ame" Chunyu left behind Yakult Brothers for another stint with Xtreme. He is coming back to the organsiation after spending four months with the unsponsored Yakult team. Along with him, Xtreme have also welcomed back Guo "Xm" Hongcheng in the midlane Lin "Xxs" Jing in the offlane and Zhao "XinQ" Zixing in the soft support position.

Xtreme Gaming were also able to sign coach Zhang "xiao8" Ning who has been on and off with LGD Gaming since 2015. Xiao8 moved to the coaching seat for LGD in 2020 and reached multiple grand finals in his new role. However, the past two years were rough for LGD Gaming, who went through multiple roster changes, and eventually put a temporary halt on their Dota 2 division in September 2024.

Xtreme Gaming forfeit ESL One Raleigh slot

The major roster overhaul comes at a cost for the Chinese organsiation who had to forfeit its slot at the upcoming ESL One Raleigh, most likely due to US visa complications. However, the team will be present at PGL Wallachia Season 3 which is set to commence later this week, on March 8, 2025 at the PGL studios from Bucharest, Romania.
