Can anybody stop them? Falcons head to BLAST Slam IV Grand Finals
BLAST Slam IV playoffs are fully underway, and things are already unfolding much as expected. Earlier in the day, Tundra secured their place in the grand finals, overpowering MOUZ 2–1 — marking their fourth straight grand final appearance at BLAST.
The second series of the day pit Heroic against the reigning International champions, Team Falcons.
Although Heroic is a team capable of holding their own, especially with Whisper’s move to the mid lane giving them a new edge, Falcons are simply in a league of their own. With a pre-TI victory, an Aegis of Champions, and a trophy from last week’s FISSURE Playground, they’ve made one thing clear: nothing’s slowing them down.
In Game 1, Heroic’s Viper pick turned out to be a complete flop. They couldn’t find footing anywhere on the map. From start to finish, Falcons held full control, and Heroic didn’t stand a chance.
To stay alive in the series, Heroic would need to flush Game 1 from memory and reset.
But things went from bad… to worse pretty quick and early on for Heroic in the second game. Early in Game 2, Falcons once again dominated the lanes, and Heroic couldn’t put up a fight even 25 minutes in. To their credit, they played more proactively this time, taking risks and trying to capitalize on any opening they could find — but Falcons’ discipline and consistency crushed every attempt.
Consistently winning drafts, consistently getting 1k per minute in gold, and consistently winning, Falcons closed the series 2–0, ending Heroic’s run in brutal fashion.
Tomorrow BLAST Slam IV will conclude with the best-of-five grand finals taking place between two European powerhouses. Falcons vs Tundra will start at 08:00 CET where ATF said he 'hopes he gets to destroy them' and shatter their dreams.
