BetBoom Team's poor results lead to their roster moving to inactive

BetBoom Team began 2026 with a few struggles and a couple of lacklustre results. But with a first-place finish at PGL Wallachia Season 8, it seemed as though everything had turned around for the roster. The International 2026 would be a strong fourth place for the team – but that is when disaster struck. Now, after two events, the organisation has announced that the entire roster is moved to inactive, as they work everything out.
BetBoom Team’s struggles
Following TI, BB Team made a few changes. With Danil “gpk” Skutin moving to inactive, a surprising move to the mid-lane for Vitalie “Save-“ Melnic was announced, while Georgii “swedenstrong” Zainalabidov filled in the position 4 role. Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek was another new addition as the coach, with Anatoly “boolk” Ivanov also going inactive. Unfortunately, with all these changes, BB Team seem to have been unable to find their footing.
Their last two tournaments, PARI Universe and BLAST SLAM VIII, have been extremely poor from the roster. Both events saw Group Stage elimination greeting the team, which is far below what was expected.
As a result of this, an announcement was made on November 2nd, confirming the entire roster would be moved to inactive.
Today, we’re pausing to think through our next steps. All players from the current roster have been moved to inactive.”
This comes as a big shock, considering the team is set to close out 2026 with BLAST SLAM IX and DreamLeague Season 30. However, from the looks of things, the roster will still be competing, under the guise of “ex-BetBoom Team”.
Whether the players will return to the BB Team organisation at a later date to rebuild remains to be seen.
