All rdy: Your weekly recap of March 16th-22nd

Nothing is ever stagnant or dull when it comes to the esports scene. Amidst the constant swirl of drama, tournaments, patches, and roster swaps, there’s always something unfolding behind the stage. From surprise upsets and standout performances to off-stage hiccups, each week brings a fresh mix of chaos and exctiment to our favorite (and often times most hated) games.

BLAST Open Spring 2026

MOUZ ended the habit of a lifetime by unceremoniously bombing out of BLAST Open Rotterdam and ruining their perfect streak of playoff appearances.

An opening round loss to The MongolZ was subsequently followed by an astonishing one to 9z (who were later demolished by Spirit) to really bring forwards the beginning of the end for this roster.

This feels like a watershed moment for MOUZ, and the hatewatchers have seemingly won.

ESL One Birmingham 2026

ESL One Birmingham 2026 kicked off just yesterday with all 16 teams playing their first series of the event. It is still too early to draw any real conclusions or crown contenders — one series is hardly enough to separate form from noise. The event is being held in Birmingham between March 22 and 29. The group stage will run through the 25th, with playoffs taking place in front of a live audience over the weekend of the 26th.

Teams and Players

The new roster featuring former PARIVISION members Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin and Filipe “Astini” Astini has already disbanded following the team’s elimination from the PREMIER SERIES. The collapse comes just after their mid-event withdrawal from European Pro League Season 35, where Astini & co. had won two of their three group stage series and had only two matches remaining.

Nigma Galaxy welcomed Cedric "Davai Lama" Deckmyn to the lineup for ESL One Birmingham 2026. From the announcement it seems he is not just a stand-in but member of the team.
