Aurora Gaming’s roster changes leave their squad incomplete as they begin their post-TI journey.

Following The International 2025, we have seen many roster shuffles. Aurora Gaming is the next team to switch things up, as they stand on the brink of their post-TI tournaments beginning. With under a day before the team takes on AVULUS in FISSURE Universe Episode 7, Aurora confirmed that two players would be stepping onto the bench.

Aurora Gaming call on a stand-in

Although finishing in the top half of TI 2025’s standings, Aurora definitely felt they could have done better. Thus, just a day before they are set to begin their run at FISSURE Universe Episode 7, the organization announced some big changes via their X account.

Gleb “kiyotaka” Zyryanov and Nikita “panto” Balaganin would be stepping down from the active roster, effective immediately. This left the roster with only 3 players as they go in search of a big start to their post-TI events. However, shortly after this, the team confirmed the addition of another Southeast Asian player to their ranks, as Chan “Oli” Chon Kien comes onboard.

Alongside this, the team also announced that for their FISSURE tournament proceedings, they will utilise a stand-in. This will come in the form of Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman. The post does not mention the team’s plans after the current event, which could mean that they plan to keep Mikoto on the team indefinitely.

With the failure of Talon Esports, there is a high chance that this could be the case, since Oli joined from the rubble of that roster shuffle. Without much time to practice together, it will be interesting to see if Aurora can quickly make an impact or if their roster will need a while to click. Either way, Aurora will be in action on October 9th, when they take on AVULUS, before heading into the BLAST Slam V closed qualifiers and BLAST Slam IV.
