xNova reunites with Ame as Xtreme Gaming make a small roster change

Xtreme Gaming gives poloson some time to rest, as xNova joins the roster for the upcoming Clavision Masters event.
On the back of yet another poor performance, this time at the Esports World Cup, Xtreme Gaming has decided to make a slight roster change. However, this change falls into the substitute line. After failing to break into the top 8 of the recently concluded event, XG confirmed their “Personnel Adjustment” via X, but did not provide specific details for the upcoming months.
Poloson takes a break before the Clavision Masters 2025 Snow-Ruyi
Having struggled to find their footing at the recent Esports World Cup and multiple tournaments prior, XG remain heavily on the backfoot heading into The International 2025. While there appears to be no clear reason behind their poor form, the team is now making a minor adjustment to their roster, albeit one that will serve only as a temporary replacement.

In a post made via X (previously Twitter), XG confirmed that Wilson Koh “poloson” Chin Wei would take to the sidelines for their upcoming stint at the Clavision Master 2025 Snow-Ruyi event. This, according to the post, is due to a tendonitis issue which the position 5 player is dealing with.
“In order to ensure the team's competitive state and actively respond to the challenges of the competition, after full communication and consultation between the team management and the players, XtremeGaming now makes the following adjustments to the lineup:
Due to the influence of tendonitis, the original Pos 5 player Xu Jinwei (ID: poloson) will be unable to continue high-intensity training and competition in the short term and will temporarily rest from now on. We sincerely thank the player poloson for his efforts and contributions to the team. May you rest and recover soon. The club will continue to pay attention to poloson's recovery and plan to re-evaluate his health status in August.
At the same time, we sincerely thank the experienced player Ye Jianwei (ID: xNova) for taking on the task at this critical moment and will join XtremeGaming as a substitute to temporarily take over the Pos5. Thank you xNova for your help! We look forward to your rapid integration into the team, working side by side with your teammates, and working together to overcome difficulties and achieve good results in the next Clavision Snow Ruyi game!”
The post goes on to wish the player well, before mentioning that Yap "xNova" Jian Wei would be utilised as a temporary stand-in. This would be the first time that xNova and Wang "Ame" Chunyu join forces on a team again since 2020, when they both played for PSG.LGD. Since then, xNova has played for multiple teams, including OG, Azure Ray, Invictus Gaming, and EHOME, among quite a few others.
The two will combine forces for the Clavision Masters event, but it is unclear if xNova will remain a feature on the XG lineup for The International 2025. As stated in the post, poloson’s condition will be monitored through August, but many are speculating that the team is looking to move forward without the Singaporean player. However, these are only assumptions, and nothing official has been said on the matter.
