Team Falcons take a magnificent series victory, as they head into the grand finals of the EWC

With the semi-finals of the Esports World Cup 2025 coming to an end, we have an epic grand final set up between Team Spirit and Team Falcons.

Only one day remains at the Esports World Cup 2025 for Dota 2, and that will be an immense grand final to determine the champion. Today’s semi-finals kicked off with Team Spirit’s masterclass victory over PARIVISION, before Team Falcons and Tundra Esports fought for the final position. However, the losing teams would get a last chance at some kind of glory, with a third and fourth place playoff in place for the two losing teams.

Team Falcons create chaos and soar

It was an extremely back-and-forth first game between the two teams. However, Tundra seemed to have the upper hand for most of the early game period, but one mistake ruined everything. In a team fight when it mattered most, Remco “Crystallis” Arets’ Monkey King was trapped by Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf’s brilliantly placed Mars Arena. This was the turning point, as Tundra seemed to fall apart after this, and Falcons had no issue with taking complete advantage to secure the win.

Game two was even crazier, with the two teams refusing to surrender. After amassing a sizeable net worth lead, Tundra seemed to completely throw the game away. Everything descended into chaotic team fights, where pickoffs were crucial on both sides. However, with 80 minutes on the clock, Falcons ended it, taking an insane 2-0 victory and booking their spot in the grand finals.

With that, it was all over for the semi-finals at the EWC 2025. Team Falcons and Team Spirit are locked in for what will be a great grand final, while Tundra Esports and PARIVISION will head into the third-place playoff. Only those two games remain, and on July 19th, the champion will be crowned, as we head into the last day of Dota 2 action at the EWC.
