3DMAX swap bodyy for misutaa

3DMAX have, for some reason, replaced bodyy with misutaaa after a sketchy patch of form.

The French team have lost their last six series in a row, which it’s fair to say is not great, and it’s bodyy whose head is on the chopping block. He’s been pretty poor in this run of games, and though he’s not alone in that, he is supposed to be one of the premier fraggers in this team.

In that sense the move doesn’t come out of nowhere, but the replacement for him is a bit of a strange choice. misutaaa has been out of tier one for a long time now after an up-and-down time on Vitality, but certainly doesn’t scream from the outside that he’s a player ready to improve this team. His inconsistent performances on Vitality appear to have never really stopped, as his output varies wildly on a map-to-map basis, and what 3DMAX really need is some star power.

They’re one of the most impressive teams in terms of how much they get out of their players, and a lot of that comes down to their style and teamplay, but they’re lacking a huge dose of firepower to help them actually beat the teams they’re able to outthink. It’s all well and good catching donk off-balance, but it’s pointless if he double kills you anyway.

It could be argued that their system will help them get more out of misutaaa than his previous team, GenOne, and as such he might end up being a much better player despite the step up. That could all be true and he still not be the missing piece, but that is kind of the bottleneck of national teams - when you need to replace players, the pool of talent is significantly reduced versus what an international team can pick from.

Maybe this is another cobrazera situation.

There might be more to it, though; after we praised their tactical nous and style, clearly they somewhat disagree as they’ve brought wasiNk back into the coaching role and old favourite NBK- as assistant coach, so we might see some more innovation, and given how things seem to have soured of late, a fresh approach might help.

Hopefully, for their sake, it’s evolution not revolution, as 3DMAX weren’t that far away.
